difference between aerobic and anaerobic exercise ppt
What is aerobic exercise?
Aerobic exercise is any cardiovascular activity that uses large muscle groups, can be sustained continuously, and is rhythmic in nature, per the Physical Activity Guidelines. It differs from anaerobic exercise in that your body uses oxygen to create ATP (read: energy) from amino acids, carbohydrates, and fatty acids, per the review from 2017.
Is aerobic training better than anaerobic training?
Most of the perks of aerobics apply to anaerobic training as well, but there are some unique advantages to these brief bouts of intense exercise. While endurance-focused aerobic workouts produce more slow-twitch muscle fibers, anaerobic exercise fires up the fast-twitch ones, which provide bigger and more powerful forces in short bursts.
