Although New Hampshire is one of the nation’s least racially diverse states, the 2020 Census shows that this continues to slowly shift in the state. Nationwide, the non-Hispanic white population declined from 69.1 percent to 57.8 percent between 2000 and 2020, a drop of nearly 12 percentage points.
