What are the rules of Unified English Braille?
Many others are listed in The Rules of Unified English Braille. Follow print spacing for mathematical signs used in literary context. In UEB, upper and lower-case Roman numerals are brailled as if they were normal letters using the letter indicator [grade 1 symbol indicator] and contractions.
What is the difference between UEB and Braille?
Braille Formats 2011 developed braille symbols to be used when necessary, as in textbooks, for the most common diacritical marks, but they differ from those in UEB. UEB gives each diacritical mark a distinct dot configuration and refers to them as modifiers.
What is a symbols-sequence in Braille?
*A symbols-sequence is any unbroken string of braille signs (letters, numbers, punctuation, or any other signs), that is preceded and followed by a space. 1.3(b) Only an accent symbol [modifier] or the ligature indicator (see §9 below) can come between a capital indicator and the letter or word to which it applies.
