When the rider presses the throttle, it sends a signal to the battery to release power. The battery sends the power to the motor (or motors) through the wires. The motors then produce a movement of the wheels and propel the scooter forward. Electric scooters can’t go in reverse, and the only way to move is forward, through the throttle.
