What is the military regulation on language?
Speak-English-Only Rule: A rule requiring Marines/Sailors to speak only English at all times on the job may violate Title VII, unless the Command shows it is necessary for conducting business.

So when wearing a Marine uniform, you are expected to speak the native language.
Unless, as stated above, you are with someone who speaks the same language and there is no one else around who doesn't.
