B: Essential services means the services as defined in section 213 of the Labour Relations Act. 1995 (Act No. 66 of 1995), and designated in terms of section 71 (8) of the Labour Relations Act, 1995 (and which designation remains valid as at the date of publication of this regulation), and as listed below: 1.
What if a company does not fall into essential service?
It does not give a firm or individual a right to trade if that company does not fall into an Essential Service as defined in the Lockdown Regulations. The Department clarifies that the registration portal is only for companies registered in terms of the Companies Act.
