    You can travel internationally and reenter the U.S. while your H-1B status is being extended or transferred from one employer to another, provided you have a valid I-797 Approval Notice and a valid H-1B visa (unless visa-exempt or eligible for automatic visa revalidation).
  • What documents do I need to re enter the United States?

    Passport. Your passport must be valid at least six months into the future at all times, especially upon initial entry or re-entry to the United States.
  • What documents do I need to travel on H-1B?

    Travel in H-1B Status

    A copy of the H-1B petition/Form I-129 as it was submitted to USCIS.The original I-797 approval notice.Your valid passport.Proof that you are maintaining H-1B status (3 recent paystubs).You can also request a "Travel Letter" from our office.
  • In fact, there's no limit on how many times you can apply. But USCIS suggests only applying again if there is a significant change in your education or circumstances to avoid further denials.
