What is a Schedule C-ez form?
If you meet certain qualifications, such as having business expenses of $5,000 or less and not having a net loss from your business, you may be able to use a Schedule C-EZ form, which is a simpler version of the Schedule C.
Do I need a Schedule C-ez for my sole proprietorship?
If you operated more than one business as a sole proprietorship, you must attach a sepa- rate Schedule C for each business. You can use the sim- pler Schedule C-EZ if you operated only one business as a sole proprietorship, you did not have a net loss, and you meet the other requirements listed in Part I of the sched- ule.
Do I need to use Schedule C-EZ to file my taxes?
Filing as a statutory employee (a sales representative, commissioned driver, or life insurance salesperson, for example). If your business doesn't meet all the requirements to use Schedule C-EZ, you will need to use the regular Schedule C to file your small business taxes.
Who should re-port rental income on Schedule C or C-ez?
If you are a real estate dealer who receives income from renting real property or an owner of a hotel, motel, etc., who provides services (maid services, etc.) for guests, re- port the rental income and expenses on Schedule C or C-EZ.
