How does an axial flow impeller work?
- The axial-flow impeller or rotor is driven by a shaft, which extends into the shroud, and is usually steadied by a bushing-type bearing. The mixer acts as a submerged pump. The product is drawn in and expelled at a high rate into the other areas of the process vessel. Since the flow rate can be very high with lowviscosity materials, a baffle plate
What is the use of impeller in wastewater treatment plant?
- The impellers are fabricated from steel, cast iron, non-corrosive alloys and FRP, and are used to agitate the wastewater vigourously, entraining air in the wastewater and causing a rapid change in the air-water interface to facilitate solution of the air Surface aerators are commonly used for completely mixing tank to provide high mixing intensity.
