What is Microsoft volume licensing service center (VLSC)?
This user guide covers subscribing and activating Microsoft services for first-time users and for existing users. It provides details on using the Microsoft Volume Licensing Service Center (VLSC) to reserve seats or add new services, view existing services, and change people’s roles.
What does VLSC do?
User Management: VLSC continues to be the site for managing roles and permissions for users needing access to volume licenses, even if the VL users who will access MAC. Manage Reservations: VLSC continues to be the site for Enterprise program customers to submit online subscription reservations.
Can a VLSC user access only VL downloads?
For example, a VLSC Agreement Administrator who wants a user to have access only to VL downloads, should use VLSC User Management function to assign the Download role; when the user goes to MAC, his/her view of VL information is limited to the volume licensing software downloads and high-level agreement information - exactly the same as in VLSC.
Does VLSC work with M365 Admin Center?
Yes, the work or school account (WSA) you use to sign into VLSC should work for M365 Admin Center. VLSC users selecting the Downloads and Keys, License Summary or License Relationship Summary features in the VLSC will be automatically redirected to M365 Admin Center. VL users will not need to sign into the MAC separately.
