Le goodwill est un écart d'acquisition positif, appelé également survaleur. Un écart d'acquisition nait de la différence entre le prix d'acquisition et la juste valeur de la société acquise.Comment comptabiliser goodwill ?
Le goodwill ou l'écart d'acquisition est en principe comptabilisé en normes fran?ises parmi les immobilisations incorporelles, à l'actif du bilan consolidé, et non en déduction des capitaux propres. En normes IFRS, le goodwill positif apparaît dans les actifs non courants.Comment comptabiliser un écart d'acquisition ?
Un écart d'acquisition positif (coût d'acquisition plus élevé que la quote-part détenue) est comptabilisé à l'actif du bilan consolidé en immobilisation incorporelle dans un compte spécifique avec pour contrepartie l'ajustement à la baisse de la valeur des titres de participation.- Les difficultés d'identification des sources d'avantages futurs donnent lieu à leur regroupement en un seul actif (« goodwill » ou écart d'acquisition). S'agissant de sa durée d'utilité, les IFRS la considèrent comme trop incertaine pour un amortissement régulier mais un test de dépréciation est réalisé chaque année.
