Place your paper in a portrait/vertical

orientation, and draw a faint pencil border using your ruler, within which you will make your drawing. Use your pencil to faintly mark where you think the middle of the top, bottom, and each side of your drawing area is. Draw a straight line between these points using your ruler and marker pen to form a diamond shape. 1 Tip: when making this drawing always try to draw one continuous straight line from point to point and use the wide edge of the pen

Use your pencil to make a faint mark

where you think the middle point is between the corners of your drawing area, and the tip of each side of the diamond. Draw a straight diagonal line with your marker pen and ruler between each of these points to form several diamond shapes. 1

Place a faint pencil cross in each of

the edge triangle shapes around the border. This is to remind you not to draw in them! Draw a straight horizontal line from the left-side tip, to the right-side tip of each diamond shape, with your marker pen and ruler, dividing them in half, creating a series of triangles. 1
