for the aliated section of Calculus I. The position also comes with some responsibility for grading student
work. Being a Teaching Assistant gives you an opportunity to develop teaching skills by working closely
with our expert faculty and interacting with students in a classroom setting. Working with other students
is a great way to strengthen your own mathematical abilities, and provides a valuable service to your fellow
students.MATH 1510 Calculus I covers limits, dierentiation, and the beginnings of integration theory. This section
of Calculus I will have approximately 50 students. All students in this section will attend MWF, taught by
Dr. Bart. The students will then split into two groups for an additional hour of instruction (a \discussion
section") led by the Teaching Assistant on Tuesday and Thursday. In total, this position should require 8 working hours per week. In combination with any additional on-campus employment, student workers may not work more than 20 hours per week during the academic year or 40 hours per week during the summer.Necessary personal characteristics for this paraprofessional position include: patience, maturity, ap-
