Program

• Choose from 5 locations: Sydney, Nicosia, Dublin, Sussex, and Glasgow. See back for a side-by-side comparison of program details.

(cork, edinburgh, hong Kong, madrid, and rome are NOT approved for ucSB students). • Ful?lls Physics 6 A-B-C and 6 AL-BL-CL. • 8 weeks from mid-June through mid-August 2021.

• 12 units, 2 physics classes each 4-weeks long. must be taken for letter grades.• intensive full-day classes monday-Friday. reserve travel for weekends or after the program ends.

• classes are with uc students only. There may be students from other countries on campus.

Eligibility

• Minimum cumulative GPA requiements vary by location (see back) and must be met at the time of application and maintained through

departure. New freshmen and transfers without ucSB GPAs may still apply.

• Prerequisites: math 2A-B, or 3A-B, or 34A-B with grades of c or above by time of departure, or equivalent.

• Sophomore, Junior, or Senior standing by time of departure (completion of at least 45 units).

How to Apply

• 150 spaces across 5 locations will be ?lled on a ?rst-come, ?rst-served basis determined by the submission time of your Preliminary Form. • Submit the Preliminary Form ranking your location preferences between 7:00am Nov. 2 until 11:59pm Nov. 30, 2020. The form link will

be posted on the ucSB eAP Due Dates website only during this window. it will not be possible to change your preferences after

submission. if you are not willing to accept a place at a certain location, select “i do not wish to be considered for this location."

• From November through late January the ucSB eAP Oce will email applicants on a rolling basis, letting you know which 1 program

you are being considered for. you will then receive instructions to complete the uceAP application for your assigned program within a

narrow window of time.• if spaces on all of your preferences are lled you will remain on the waitlist. you will receive an email as soon as a spot becomes available

on any of your preferences. • Do not submit a UCEAP application until instructed. • All applicants will receive an acceptance decision no later than the end of January.

COVID-19

Currently, UCEAP Summer 2021 programs are scheduled to run as planned. Given the ?uidity of COVID-19, we cannot guarantee that sum-

mer 2021 programs will run. if there are any changes applicants will be notied immediately. We recommend creating a backup plan to complete your physics requirements in case your program is suspended.
