Job Opportunities
at Waterman Dairy for Spring 2021: The Ohio State Waterman Dairy is looking for students interested in operating farm equipment and working with dairy cattle. Paid positions are open for Spring 2021 employment and can fulfill internship requirements.
The OSU Waterman Dairy has 1
00 registered Jerseys in milk and approximately 165 replacement heifers. The farm consists of 120 crop acres plus 45 acres of pasture. Student employees with equipment experience are engaged in the cropping and equipment maintenance aspect of the farm as well as routine chores.
Besides general dairy
chores, other opportunities can be tailored to fit internship requirements or e mployee interests. Students are responsible for 2 or 3 chores a week (3:45am/pm until approx. 7:00am/pm) and every other weekend.
Work hours
are flexible outside of chore shifts and the farm is located within a mile of campus to allow a convenient commute between or after classes. Work experience can be gained in the following on farm practices:
