DEFINITIONS

Noun-Words which are used as names of persons

,animals , places or things are called nouns.

Common Nouns- A name which does not point out

any particular person, place or thing but ia common to all persons place or things of the same class or kind is called a Common noun. e.g apple , chair ,city ,boy etc. Proper nouns-A name which belongs to a particular person, place or thing is called a proper noun.e.g

Tom ,New Delhi etc.

Collective Noun-A name given to a collection of

persons or things taken as one is called collective noun.
