Post-Doc in Mesh Swapping & Smoothing

A post-doctoral position is available at the University of Wisconsin-Madison for an applicant with a background in mesh generation or computational geometry. The work will involve the combination of mesh swaps (local modification of connectivity) and mesh smoothing for mesh improvement. Candidates should have a PhD in applied mathematics or computer science (other degrees will be

considered if experience and qualifications are sufficient). Experience in code development in the C++

language is also strongly desired. Application experience in the numerical solution of PDEs is also desirable. This work is sponsored by the Applied Mathematics Research program of the US Department of Energy

Office of Science.
