Advanced Learner Loan
A loan scheme is available from the government to help learners aged 19+ studying Level 3 to 6 further education/professional qualifications (excluding degrees). The amount you will get depends on the type of
course you take and the course fees. In order to apply for your loan online you will first need a learning and
funding information letter from Newcastle College. This is issued by the school administration office when you make an application. To apply and for more information visit www.gov.uk/advanced-learner-loan

in receipt of Jobseeker"s Allowance (JSA). in receipt of Employment and Support Allowance (ESA) and are in t he work-related activity group (WRAG). in receipt of Universal Credit, earn less than 16 times the National Minimum Wage per week or £330 a month and are determined by Jobcentre Plus (JCP) as being in one of the following groups: - All Work Related Requirements Group - Work Preparation Group - Work Focused Interview Group. in receipt of other state benefits and earn less than 16 times the National Minimum Wage a week or £330 a month, want to be employed and are undertaking learning that is directly relevant to your employment prospe cts and the local labour market needs. earn less than £16,009.50 annual gross salary. aged 19-23 and planning to study towards your first full Level 2 or first full Level 3.
Category B
employed and earning between £16,009.50 and £21,000, planning to study up to and including Level 2. This will show the contribution to be paid towards the course.
