Trysome Auto Electrical Engineering (Pty) Ltd, is the largest, single-source supplier of auto-electrical heavy-duty components, collision avoidance systems, and

associated technical services in Southern Africa.

We are solutionists with multidisciplinary technical expertise and an entrenched African footprint backed by global parts-supply partnerships.

Established in 1991 by Edwin William Smith, Trysome is well represented country-wide with its head office in Jet Park, Boksburg, Gauteng and branches in

Eastern Cape, Free State, KwaZulu Natal, Mpumalanga, North West, Northern Cape and Western Cape. Across the border, Trysome operates subsidiaries in

Botswana (Gaborone, Jwaneng & Letlhakane), Ghana, Mozambique and Zambia and has recently appointed Authorised Distributors in Namibia.

Trysome is focused on sourcing OEM and specialised auto-electrical, replacement components, collision avoidance and telemetry systems for operators of heavy-

duty automotive, earth-moving, construction, agricultural, transport and mining machinery.

In addition to sourcing, Trysome is committed to the development and innovation of auto-electrical and safety products. The Company"s state-of-the-art technology

in collision avoidance, telemetry, and safety systems has already been adopted by, and is operational in, many of southern Africa"s mines.

engineer a new, customised product' - Trysome identified the need for a dedicated Manufacturing Division.

This division researches, designs, prototypes, tests, and finally manufactures new products, in line with industry

demand. They also customise and modify existing products to satisfy the specific needs of each customer.

Each product development or customisation adheres to proven working practices and strict quality controls.

Instrument Panels, Remote Controls, Harnesses, Battery Charging Bays, Battery Packs, Battery Management

Containers, Fatigue Warning Systems, PDUs, Isolation Units and Audible Park Brake Alarms are just a few of the

outputs of this department. Currently we are the only company that manufactures enclosures and harnesses to OEM standard.

Reman. Workshop

Trysome has a well-equipped Remanufacturing Centre catering to the remanufacture and repair of rotating

electrical equipment - starters, alternators, Prelubs, and steering motors. Parts are refurbished to OEM

specifications through a full spectrum of meticulous work standards and quality-control disciplines.

Trysome ensures that they have a broad range of Exchange Units available at all times in order to minimise the

customer's downtime. Each Exchange Unit is supplied with a full print-out of the test results.

Trysome has invested millions to ensure that their Reman. Workshop is equipped with the latest, state-of-the-art

technology - regulator testers catering to various makes and models of vehicle, D & V Electronics test benches,

The Company has attracted a variety of high-calibre multi-skilled technical talent, thus enjoying a depth of technical

strength.

The Field Service Division is manned by skilled, qualified technicians, providing on-site repair services to customers,

thereby assisting them in keeping their downtime to an absolute minimum.

This division boasts a fleet of retrofitted vehicles enabling 'service on demand' anywhere in the country. Each vehicle

is installed with an inverter for 220 V power supply, a fully equipped tool box canopy, bench vice and water tank.

Where there is demand, a 'man-on-site' can be assigned to cater specifically to the needs of any given customer.

Trysome's Field Service unit stays ahead of the game with the latest in diagnostic equipment catering for Caterpillar,

Hitachi, Bell, and Komatsu, amongst others.

Trysome has developed the 'All-in-One' Collision Avoidance System in response to the mining and construction

Eddie Smith

Founder and Chief Executive Officer

Eddie Smith's formative work experience

included a stint at Komatsu as an auto electrician, and it was during this time that he saw a niche in the market for quality products at reasonable prices. "The mining and construction environment is harsh and rugged, and the industry simply cannot afford sub-par quality, and even more it needs sound warranty back-up and technical support." This is what Eddie Smith focused on, working from a small workshop and visiting sites with a 4x4 bakkie, as a one-man show, working 24/7.

Trysome has fulfilled a dream, even though

Eddie is quick to point out that it still has a

long way to go.

The awesome aspect of Trysome's growth

Eddie describes as Trysome's biggest asset.

Kuseni Dlamini is the Chairman of Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE)-listed Massmart Holdings Ltd, a leading African retail group operating over 400 stores in 13 Sub-Saharan African countries. Massmart is a Walmart Stores Inc. subsidiary company, housing the latter's

African retail interests.

He is also the Chairman of Aspen Pharmacare Holdings

Ltd, a leading global speciality pharmaceutical

company with operations in over 50 countries with a product footprint across 150 countries. Aspen has been at the forefront of Africa and the world's

response to the COVID-19 pandemic by producing the Johnson & Johnson vaccine at its world-class plant in

Gqeberha, South Africa. Aspen's other medicines, such as dexamethasone and anaesthetics, have been of immense help to COVID-19 patients worldwide.

He is also a Member of the Board of the American

Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM) in South Africa and

the Board of the Southern Africa-Canada Chamber of Commerce (SACANCHAM). All products supplied by Trysome are supplied and provided on the condition that we cannot be held responsible in the event that they are used for any other purpose than that specified by the manufacturer. Trysome's warranty, therefore, does not cover misuse, abuse, incorrect fitment and applications, and/ or consequential damages. The customer or purchaser accepts that it is their responsibility to ensure that the product is used in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. The commencement date of all warranties is the date of invoice to the purchaser, unless otherwise agreed by Trysome in writing. NB: To ensure warranty cover, it is recommended that all parts be fitted by a qualified auto electrician.
