BRAZIL

FIPSE Engineering Program

Students can earn an NCSU International Certificate in Engi- neering while studying in the Faculty of Engineering at one of three Brazilian universities. Completing coursework in Por- tuguese, students travel to Brazil for a two month language immersion program prior to the start of the classes. Addi- tional financial support is available.

MEXICO

Tecnologico de Monterrey (ITESM)

ITESM offers English and Spanish-taught courses in the Fac- ulty of Engineering. Students can participate in research pro- jects, community service learning programs, and engineering internship placements. ITESM also offers certificates in manu- facturing systems, construction systems, software engineer- ing and international business.

SWEDEN

Lund University

University of Wollongong

One of the best engineering schools in Australia, Wollon- gong offers academic coursework in the following engineer- ing departments: civil, computer, electrical, environmental, materials, mechanical, mining , and telecommunications.

Monash University

With an international reputation in teaching and research, Monash has academic departments in the following engi- neering areas: biological, chemical, civil, electrical/computer systems, materials, and mechanical/aerospace.

HONG KONG

Hong Kong Polytechnic University

HKPU offers English-taught courses in these areas of the Fac- ulty of Engineering: computing, electrical, electronic/ information, industrial/systems, mechanical, building ser- vice, civil/structural, land surveying/geo-informatics engi- neering. HKPU also has engineering-based research centers.

Nanjing Civil Engineering (China)

Conducting classes in English at Southeast University, stu- dents fulfill 6 credit hours of CCEE degree requirements. Day trips, overnights, and cultural excursions are part of the pro- gram. An optional trip to Beijing is offered at the culmination of the program.

Summer in Segovia (Spain)

Students earn 6 credit hours of coursework in Spanish, fulfill- ing the Humanities/Social Sciences requirement for the Col- lege of Engineering. Students also visit the famous aque- duct, textile factories and other places to experience tech- nology past and present.

Summer in Hangzhou (China)

Students live on Zhejiang University campus and earn 6 credit hours in general education or engineering classes taught by NCSU faculty. Planned excursions and cultural activities with Chinese students are part of the program.
