ENGINEERING DESIGN

MANUFACTURING TECHNOLOGY

Product Design

Product designers determine the form and function of the products we use and transform ideas into drawings and models for the creations that meet needs and wants. Students develop skills to critically analyze existing products and develop their own creative solutions. Learn problem solving and hands-on skills to prepare for a career in the drafting and design of mechanical/manufacturing components. Students learn AutoCad, Catia, Solidworks, Inventor, Circuit Board Layout, and 3-D printing.

Manufacturing Engineering Technology

Manufacturing engineering technology focuses on the manufacturing process from beginning to end, looking for ways to produce high quality products while reducing the cost of making them. These engineers also need a good understanding of assembly parts, production, assembly, logistics and quality control.

Mechanical Engineering Technology

Mechanical engineering technology focuses on hands-on application and practical training to improve and solve real-world problems. Graduates use their skills to develop, apply, implement, and improve products, processes and systems in mechanical and manufacture engineering applications. Students learn CAD/CAM, engineering analysis, materials testing, manufacturing processes and solid modeling design.
