How many H-1B petitions did USCIS approve in FY2019?

In FY2019, USCIS approved approximately 133,000 H-1B petitions for initial employment, based on petitions filed by approximately 29,000 employers. This count includes petitions subject to the numerical limit set by the statute (commonly known as “cap-subject”) and petitions that are exempt from the numerical limit (commonly known as “cap-exempt”).

How do I sign an H-1B petition?

It must be signed with an original signature and enclosed with the H-1B petition. NOTE: If you are signing Form I-907 as an attorney or accredited representative for the petitioner, you must include a properly completed and signed Form G-28 with the petition.

What is the median salary of H-1B petitions in FY2019?

The median salary of the overall approved petitions in FY2019 is $98,000. When considering this figure it is important to note that it includes not just entry-level H-1B workers but also those with numerous years of experience. It should also be noted that H-1Bs are generally employed in high cost areas.

How many checks do I need to file an H-1B petition?

For example, if you are required to pay the base filing fee, the ACWIA fee, and the premium processing fee, you should submit three separate checks. If you only submit one check as combined payment for all applicable fees and certain fees do not apply or are incorrect, we will reject your H-1B petition.
