1 APA Citation Format

To use the APA Citation format in L

ATEX, theapacitepackage must be installed. To

do so, follow the steps outlined below.

1.1 Installation

Theapacitepackage is normally distributed using a.dtx¯le. In fact, ifMikTeX 2.7 or higher is available, the package can be installed directly from theMikTeXpackage repository. However, steps for manual installation are outlined below. 1. The L ATEXcitation package,apacite.styneeds to be copied into thetexfolder in theMikTexinstallation folder. 2. Theapacann.bst,apacannxs.bst,apacite.bst, andapacitex.bstneed to be copied into the folder where BibTeX can access them. Normally, this is thenbibtexnbstfolder in the MikTeX folder. Furthermore, note that theapacann.bstandapacannx.bstare to be used when theannoteand/or annotate¯elds are provided (for annotated bibliographies). 3. To use the.stypackage, add eithernusepackage[(options)]fapaciteg ornRequirePackage[(options)]fapacitegto the preamble of the docu- ment. To load thebibtex¯les, usenbibliographystylefapacitegor nbibliographystylefapacitexgto the document before thenbibliographycom- mand. 2 MLA Citation Format

To use the MLA citation format in L

ATEX, it is necessary to install the

biblatex-mlapackage ¯rst. The package itself can be obtained from The necessary steps for installation are outlined below:

2.1 Installation

1. First, locate thebiblatexfolder. In Windows, and with MikTeX 2.7, this should be located atntexnlatexnbiblatex 2. Then, in the subfolder entitledlatexcopymla.cbxinto the folder calledcbx 3.
