EDITORIALDeeds more than Years
College has traversed 150 years. While harking back over the last century and a half, one can only marvel foresight of our visionary predecessors. Every stone in this great institution bears the indelible mark of the enduring dream of our past luminaries. The gargoyles who have watched every event here; the omniscient and perennial architecture; the glorious arches which books; the exquisite college hall where art continues to flourish; the chapel that is imbued with the pursuit of truth, beauty, goodness and faith; the hostel where harmony and camaraderie thrive; the gymkhana where men and women learn about fairplay and justice are extensions of the past and yet are contemporary. Founded by German Jesuits in 1869, this college has cascaded into a repository of the voluminous endeavors undertaken by undaunted and creative educational leaders and thinkers. This is where glass ceilings were broken to celebrate various diversities; this is the place has matched the strides of changing times both in beckoning and we adopted it in 2010, embracing its Principals was another glorious step. Tomes and reams had on generations of people from India and the world. we are jubilant about the sesquicentenary, we believe it is the deeds that matter more than the years as echoed in the words raised in honor of Fr. Palacious: year long celebration of the sesquicentenary.Dr. Rashmi Lee George

3 During this sesquicentennial year, we have a multitude of gifts for which to of course our alumni who do us proud in so many spheres of social life all over the country and beyond. is to motivate each of our students to nurture three very special values: to be professionally innovative, to be persons of integrity and to be socially inclusive. To be professionally innovative is to add unique value to the world, by way of critical thinking and creative
with the world creatively, courageously and compassionately. To be persons of integrity is to demonstrate depth and balance in the most basic aspects of human development:
spiritual, moral, emotional, interpersonal and social. The world is in dire need of a critical mass of persons who
can exercise moral authority and sound and selfless leadership. To be socially inclusive is to embrace a wider swath of people into our circles of concern and engagement,
make it easier for social wounds to heal, and create apt conditions for reconciliation and harmony to prevail.
we believe that each of our students has something special to offer, which will make our nation and our world
a better and safer place and our human community feel more like a family. This is our prayer and our endeavour. Help us to transform this vision and passion into reality. 4 vision and its key values, Innovation, Integration and Inclusion, the college has National Institutional Ranking Framework, Government of India ranking system and for all three years, has been placed among the top 100 institutions of our100 colleges for the last three years.
