EDITORIALDeeds more than Years

College has traversed 150 years. While harking back over the last century and a half, one can only marvel foresight of our visionary predecessors. Every stone in this great institution bears the indelible mark of the enduring dream of our past luminaries. The gargoyles who have watched every event here; the omniscient and perennial architecture; the glorious arches which books; the exquisite college hall where art continues to flourish; the chapel that is imbued with the pursuit of truth, beauty, goodness and faith; the hostel where harmony and camaraderie thrive; the gymkhana where men and women learn about fairplay and justice are extensions of the past and yet are contemporary. Founded by German Jesuits in 1869, this college has cascaded into a repository of the voluminous endeavors undertaken by undaunted and creative educational leaders and thinkers. This is where glass ceilings were broken to celebrate various diversities; this is the place has matched the strides of changing times both in beckoning and we adopted it in 2010, embracing its Principals was another glorious step. Tomes and reams had on generations of people from India and the world. we are jubilant about the sesquicentenary, we believe it is the deeds that matter more than the years as echoed in the words raised in honor of Fr. Palacious: year long celebration of the sesquicentenary.

To be professionally innovative is to add unique value to the world, by way of critical thinking and creative

Honours Programme has been in

existence for the last thirty-four years or more here at Xavier"s. Aer Xavier"s got Autonomy many of the courses oered in the Honours Programme moved to mainstream classes. is took the overall academics of the College to a higher level. However, there is always that segment of students who can handle bigger challenges. Hence, the Honours Programme continued to be oered by a few faculty stalwarts. I am grateful to the faculty for their work in the Honours Programme and their service as DQAC Coordinators of their respective departments (see table).
