equation. These tasks do not require the Analysis ToolPak or StatPlus:mac LE. Everything can be

done easily with the out-of-the-package copy of Excel. It's one of Excel's best statistical features.

C lickOKand this will produce an array of correlation coecients between all of the variables repre- sented by the columns. It's good for seeing which of many variables are most strongly correlated.

Installing Analysis T oolPak(Windows Only)

O pena blank Excel spreadsheet.

2. C lickon the windo wsicon (pre 2010) or the le tab ( 2010+). 3. C hooseExcel Options (pre 2010) or just options (2010+). 4.

C hooseadd-ins.

5. In manage (b ottomof windo w),c hooseExcel Add -insand clic kGo. 6. C heckthe b oxthat sa ysAnalysis T oolPakand clic kOK. 7. Afte ry ouload the Anal ysisT oolPak,the Data Analysis command is a vailableunder the Data tab. It should be the far right option.

Getting StatPlus LE (Mac Only)

As of this writing, if you are running Excel 2008 or higher on a Mac, the Analysis ToolPak is not available. There is an application called StatPlus:mac LE which is a free version of the full StatPlus application. It can handle most of the tasks performed by the Analysis ToolPak and the full version is probably superior - but that costs money.
