Where to Park at Union Station

Oneida County has developed a parking plan for use of its parking lots adjacent to Union Station and the

attached Railway Express Agency Building. Through a cooperative effort, the Utica Police Department will enforce

the parking regulations in the county parking lots and on adjacent streets. Union Station serves many functions

besides its obvious role as a transportation center. The station houses a number of retail establishments and county

offices. The parking plan was developed to insure an orderly system of parking for the public and employees that use

the station. Other than for Overnight Parking, parking regulations are in effect from 7:00am - 5:00pm, Monday thru

Friday. You may park in any lot you want, except designated Handicapped Spaces, during evening hours and on the

weekends. Special temporary signage will also prohibit parking in certain areas during the Public Market and other

outdoor special events. Briefly noted below are the locations of where you should park. The parking map (see reverse side) shows

where you should park for the following purposes: Where to Park at

General Public Use Parking

If you visit the station for county offices or

shops for less than 90 minutes, you may park in the lots designated as Short-Term.

If you visit the station for county offices or

shops for more than 90 minutes, you should park in the lots designated as All-Day

Parkin

g.

Employee Parking

Employees, both county and tenants, must park

in the areas designated as Employee

Parking

with a parking tag displayed in the front window of their vehicle.

Handicapped Parking Spaces

There are thirteen (13) reserved parking spaces

distributed around the station. (Spaces noted on the reverse side of this pamphlet)

On-Street Parking

In addition to the county parking lots, the City

of Utica has provided a number of 90-minute on- street parking spaces around Union Station from

9:00am -5:00pm.

If you are taking a trip on the Adirondack Scenic

Railroad on weekdays from 7:00am until 5:00pm,

you should park at the eastern end of the Railway

Express Agency

If you will leave and return on the same day on

weekdays from 7:00am until 5:00pm, you should park in the lots designated for All-Day

Parkin

g. If you plan on leaving your car overnight, you must park in the lot designated as

Overnight Parking at

the corner of Railroad Street and Broad Street.

Department of

Motor Vehicles

If you are going to DMV you should park in the

preferred Sho rt-Term Parking lot located at the end of

Railroad Street behind the Children's Museum. DMV

is open Mon., Wed, & Fri., 9:00am - 4:30pm., Tues., & Thurs., 10:00 am - 6:00pm Prepared by the
