Beyond In?uence:

the Economic Impact of International Students in France

Introduction

This study is the first of its kind in France

To better understand the economic impact of

international students on the country, Campus France conducted an online survey with a representative sample of 4,200 students. Institut BVA conducted the survey. While extensive data exists for the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Germany and some other European countries, France did not have accurate data, with the exception of some large statistical aggregates through the Ministry of Higher Education and Research. This study makes an original contribution and will allow us to debate with our European partners.

An economic impact mostly positive for

France:

While the report estimates that international students cost the state around 3 billion euros, these students contribute 4.65 billion euros to the French economy, as follows: tquotesdbs_dbs21.pdfusesText_27
