3. What forms of gaming are allowed in B.C.'s pubs and bars?

The Province of British Columbia allows only very limited forms of gaming in pubs and bars. Within the broad guidelines set by the Province, the Liquor Control & Licensing Branch (LCLB) determines what specific forms of gaming are permitted in B.C.'s pubs and bars. These include the sale of BCLC products like Racetrax and Keno, and a limited variety of gaming events licensed by the Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch, such as off-track betting, charity ticket raffles, bingo events and small-scale Texas Hold'em poker. Conditions set by LCLB on gaming in liquor establishments may be found in the "Liquor Primary Licence Terms and Conditions: A Guide for Liquor Licensees in British Columbia" at http://www.pssg.gov.bc.ca/lclb/resources (Click on "Licensee Guides.")

4. In B.C., who decides where slot machines are located?

The British Columbia Lottery Corporation makes these decisions, but they cannot introduce slot machines into a gaming facility without the prior approval of the local government.
