travailler sa prononciation (activités intégrant le numérique surlignées en jaune) sociétéPréambule : Cette séquence a été élaborée après avoir emmené mes élèves de 3è voir le film Gattaca grâce au
dispositif " Collège au cinéma ». Par la suite, un travail interdisciplinaire français/anglais a été réalisé. Le but
premier de cette séquence était de fournir une base solide de réflexion sur le film pour les élèves souhaitant le
prĠsenter ă l'oral du DNB dans le cadre du parcours artistique et culturel.Les Ġlğǀes peuǀent choisir de passer une partie de cet oral en langues ǀiǀantes en bonus. J'ai dĠcidĠ de leur faire
créer cette partie et de travailler sa prononciation pour motiver les élèves et les inciter à faire ce choix.
Les élèves sont allés plus loin dans l'analyse en cours de français, les thèmes ont été plus largement étudiés.

Objectifs : Se rappeler du film, commencer l'analyse, début du travail sur l'eugĠnismeAE Recap sur le film/résumé:
- En groupes, parler du film et écrire quelques phrases sur ce dont les élèves se rappellent.
- Remettre des morceaux de résumĠ dans l'ordre (2 niǀeaudž d'aide ledžicale) [Annexe 1 et 1bis]
AE Analyse des noms :
- En groupe classe, travail sur la signification des noms des personnages : Jerome (Genome) Eugene (eugenics/gene) Morrow (Tomorrow) Vincent (latin Vincere = to conquer) Freeman (FREE MAN) Irene Cassini (Giovanni Domenico Cassini, astronome)Séance 2
Objectifs : Analyse du film, découverte du vocabulaire AE Recap : Faire une phrase sur le film et la dire à son voisin. AE Questions (utilisation du manuel de français pour la conception des questions): - Répondre à la fiche de questions sur le film (choisir entre 3 niveaux) [Annexe 2a, 2b, 2c] - Correction en groupe classe ă l'oral.AE Trace écrite :

- Comparer sa trace écrite avec son voisin - Correction en groupe classe AE Travail de recherche sur internet en groupes [Annexe 4]- commencer l'Ġcriture de son tedžte sur Gattaca (aǀec des mots imposĠs). PossibilitĠ d'utiliser des
dictionnaires en ligne. Séance 4 [En salle informatique + casques/micro]AE Traǀail d'Ġcriture

Séance 5 [En salle classique avec les tablettes ou salle informatique + casques/micro] Objectifs : Prononciation des mots et mise en voix de son texteAE Recap : Prononciation des mots importants

AE Mise en voix de son texte
- Textes récupérés, corriger les erreurs restantes avec son groupe. - Ouvrir http://www.ttsdemo.com/ . Choisir la voix (homme/femme, plusieurs accents disponibles).- Taper son texte (3 phrases par 3 phrases), écouter et répéter. Attention, les noms propres sont
parfois mal prononcés, il faut avoir Forvo en même temps. Séance 6 [En salle classique avec les tablettes ou salle informatique + casques/micro]Objectifs : Accent de phrase
AE Recap : sans le logiciel, lire 2 phrases de son texte à son groupe en essayant de bien prononcer
les mots. Le groupe essaie de corriger.AE Traǀail sur l'accent de phrase
- Regarder la vidéo suivante (possibilité de mettre les sous titres en anglais et de ralentir la vidéo) :
mots sont accentués. - Souligner les mots à accentuer dans son propre texte- Entraînement à la prononciation de son texte (possibilité de s'enregistrer et s'Ġcouter)
Séance 7 [En salle classique avec les dictaphones et les tablettes ou salle informatique avec les casques/micros]Objectifs : Evaluation de la prononciation
- Entraînement ă la prononciation de son tedžte en groupes en ayant la possibilitĠ d'utiliser Forǀo
et/ou TTS- Passage individuel évalué sur son texte. Seulement la compétence " Mettre en voix son discours
d'une réelle production orale.Quelques regrets :
AE J'aurais voulu utiliser la fonction " Dictation » sur la tablette pour que les élèves se forcent à bien
prononcer les mots pour que ceux-ci s'écrivent correctement. Il suffit de changer la langue de l'appareil
(bien penser à remettre en français pour les collègues les utilisant après !) et d'utiliser l'application
" Notes ». Cependant, je n'ai pas eu le temps de le faire.AE Le fait d'utiliser les dictaphones ou la fonction " dictaphone » sur l'ordinateur ne les entraîne pas à
parler devant un auditoire. Je pense que j'essaierai de les faire passer avec le dictaphone mais par groupes
de 4 afin de parler devant au moins 3 camarades.Annexe 1 ͗ rĠsumĠ du film ă dĠcouper et mĠlanger. Les Ġlğǀes remettent dans l'ordre.
E. Vincent Freeman is conceiǀed without the aid of genetic selection; he's supposed to liǀe selection to give birth to their next child, Anton. I. Growing up, the two brothers often play a game of "chicken"(swimming the farthest in the sea); Vincent always loses. Vincent dreams of a career in space travel but is reminded of his genetic inferiority. O. One day Vincent challenges Anton to a game of chicken and wins. Vincent saves Anton and then leaves home. D. Years later, Vincent works as an ͞in-ǀalid", cleaning the offices of Gattaca Aerospace Corporation. He reads a lot of books about space travel and trains a lot to have a good physical condition. F. He meets Jerome Eugene Morrow, a former swimming star who won only a silver medal. Vincent becomes Jerome, a ͞ǀalid". He becomes Gattaca's best celestial naǀigator. He's G. A week before the mission, the mission director is murdered. The police finds Vincent's ^]v-ǀalid" eyelash. H. Irene takes Vincent's hair on his hairbrush to analyse (but it is in fact Jerome's hair). Jerome admits that the reason for his paralysis is not a car accident but a suicide attempt.J. Vincent and Irene meet on a roof. She confesses that, eǀen though she's a ͞ǀalid", she has
a heart defect. They kiss. K. Vincent learns that the police found his eyelash and that he's wanted by the police. He wants to give up everything but Jerome convinces him to continue. C. Vincent and Irene go to a piano concert. The police check their identity, Vincent takes off his lenses. M. Gattaca's employees haǀe to do a blood test. Vincent succeeds in replacing his blood with L. There is a police raid in a bar. Vincent and Irene escape. They spend the night together.Vincent wakes up and goes swimming in the sea.
B. In Gattaca, a policeman is looking for Vincent. Irene warns him. Vincent warns Jerome. Jerome climbs up his stairs. Jerome has to do a blood test. Vincent explains his true identity to Irene. She runs away, frightened. N. The real murderer is confounded. It was Gattaca's director. We understand that the brother. Irene accepts Vincent's true identity. A. The day of the launch arrives. Jerome says that he has stored enough genetic samples to last Vincent two lifetimes. They say goodbye. Vincent is stopped for an unexpected DNA test. The test shows that Vincent is an ͞in-ǀalid" but the doctor has known all along and alters the test to allow him to go anyway. The shuttle lifts off, Jerome commits suicide inside his home incinerator. His silver medal turns gold in the flames.
