Purpose:

To build crime prevention capacity in the SA Police Service in line with

Constitutional requirements.

Goal: To capacitate new recruits with the necessary basic policing knowledge, skills and attitude in line with the Constitutional mandate.

Selection and Recruitment Process:

²Psychometric assessment;

²Interviews;

²Fitness; and

²Medical assessment.

Generic Requirements:

²RSA Citizen;

²No criminal record;

²Between ages of 18-30 years;

²Matric or Equivalent Certificate; and

²In possession of a Drivers licence (08/EB).
