GAME 3 NETS STRONG AGAIN ON DEFENSE, FALL JUST SHORT AGAINST SIXERS IN BROOKLYN

The Nets trailed by 11 at the half (58-47) but played their best quarter of the playoffs in the third, outscoring Philadelphia 35-18 to take an 82-76 lead.

Brooklyn held a lead as late as 2:03 to go in the fourth quarter (96-94) but couldnt hold on in a 102-97 home loss to the Sixers.

In three games, Brooklyn has held Philadelphia to 106.3 ppg (99.0 ppg in the last two games). The Sixers lowest regular season ppg

vs. any opponent came against Phoenix (102.5 ppg) and Miami (106.3 ppg).

NETS PLAYOFF HISTORY TAKING ON THE SIXERS

This is the fourth postseason meeting between the Nets and Sixers and the first time since the 2019 playoffs. All four matchups have been first round series that have pitted the #3 seed Sixers against the #6 seed Nets. The Nets are 0-6 all-time at home in the playoffs at Philadelphia (4-5 on the road).

In 2019, Game 1 between the Nets and Sixers was the first game of the playoffs (2:30 p.m. tipoff on 4/13), with the Nets securing the upset, 111-102.

The only Nets to play in the 2019 series that are still with Brooklyn are Joe Harris (the longest-tenured player) and Spencer Dinwiddie (came

2023 REGULAR SEASON SIXERS TOP NETS

The Nets were swept, 4-0, in the 2022-23 season series, with

Brooklyn using 14 starters in those four games.

No one appeared in all four games for Brooklyn.

Nic Claxton appeared in three of the four games, averaging 14.3 ppg (.800 FG), 6.7 rpg, 1.3 apg and 3.0 bpg in 29.4 mpg.
