Simple Past

-Used to talk about completed actions in the past. e.g. - I ate breakfast this morning.

Simple Present

-Used to talk about routines and habits -To talk about things that are always true e.g. - I eat breakfast every day. -Used to describe an action that will happen at a point in time in the future. e.g. - I will eat breakfast later.

Simple Future

- Used to talk about plans -To make predictions about the future e.g. I am going to see Juliet later Simple Tenses: Simple Tenses are used to talk about a point in time. Continuous Tenses: Continuous tenses are used whenever we are talking about a length of time.

Perfect Tenses: Perfect tenses are used whenever we are talking about a point in time before another point in time.

Present Perfect Continuous

- Used to talk about something that started in the past and is continuing into the present. -To talk about recently completed actions. e.g. - I have been eating my breakfast for 30 minutes.

Future Perfect Continuous

-Used to say how long something will have been in progress up to a point in the future. e.g. - I will have been eating my breakfast for 30 minutes by the time he arrives.
