GettingStarted

PolarH7 heartratesensor iscompatiblewith

Bluetooth®smartready devicesthatsupport

heartrate service.Aseparate applicationis requiredto viewheartrate dataonthe receiving device(for example,asmartphone). Itis recommendedto usethePolar Beatapplication butit isalsopossible touseother applications.

Ifyou haveapolarpersonaltrainer .comaccount

PolarBeat automaticallysynchronizesyour

trainingfiles toit.Please notethatyou must signin toyourpolarpersonaltrainer .comaccount whenstarting PolarBeatfor thesynchronization towork.

Whenusing thePolarH7 forthefirst time,

youneed topairthe heartratesensor with yourreceiving device.Formore information onpairing, seethemobile application manufacturer'sinstructions.

PolarH7 heartratesensor iswaterresistant.

TheGymLink technologycanbe usedinwater

activities,but Bluetooth®wirelesstechnology willnot workinwater .Pleasenotice thatsea andpool waterarevery conductive,and electrodesmay short-circuit,preventingECG signalsfrom beingdetectedby theheartrate sensor.

Whenusing abathingsuit, thebest

performanceis achievedbywearing theheart ratesensor underneathit.

Caringfor YourHeart RateSensor

Theheart ratesensoris ahigh-techinstrument that

shouldbe handledwithcare. Followthecaring instructionsto ensurereliablemeasurement andto maximizethe lifespanof theheartrate sensor.The followinginstructions willhelpyou fulfillguarantee obligations.

Connector:Detachthe connectorfromthe strapafter

everyuse anddrythe connectorwitha softtowel.Clean theconnector withamild soapandwater solutionwhen needed.Never usealcoholor anyabrasivematerial (e.g.steel woolorcleaning chemicals).

Strap:Rinsethe strapunderrunning waterafterevery

useand hangtodry .Cleanthe strapgentlywith amild soapand watersolutionwhen needed.Donot use moisturizingsoaps, becausetheycan leaveresidueon thestrap. Donotsoak, iron,dryclean orbleachthe strap.Do notstretchthe straporbend theelectrode areassharply .

Dryand storethestrap andtheconnector separately

tomaximize theheartrate sensorbatterylifetime.

Keepthe heartratesensor inacool anddryplace. Do

notstore theheartrate sensorwetin non-breathing material,such asasports bag,toprevent snap oxidation.Do notexposethe heartratesensor todirect sunlightfor extendedperiods.

Checkthe labelonyour straptosee ifitis machine

washable.Never putthestrap ortheconnector inadryer!

Batteries

Thebattery levelofyour heartratesensor isdisplayed onthe receivingdevice.

Allconnectors haveuserchangeable batteries.To

changethe batteryyourself,follow theinstructions below,andseethe markingsonthe connectorand pictureC onthefront coverofthis usermanual.

1.Usinga coin,openthe batterycoverby turningit

counterclockwiseto OPEN.

2.Insertthe battery(CR2025) insidethecover with

thepositive (+)sideagainst thecover. Makesure thesealing ringisin thegrooveto ensurewater resistance.

3.Pressthe coverbackinto theconnector.

4.Usethe cointoturn thecoverclockwise to

CLOSE.

Whenchanging thebattery, makesurethe sealingring

isnot damaged,inwhich caseyoushould replaceit witha newone.

Youcanpurchasethe sealingring/batterykits at

well-equippedPolar retailersandauthorized Polar

Services.In theUSAand Canada,theadditional

sealingrings areavailableat authorizedPolarService

Centers.In theUSAthe sealingring/batterykits are

alsoavailable atwww.shoppolar .com. Keepbatteries awayfromchildren. Ifswallowed,contact a doctorimmediately .Batteriesshouldbedisposedof in compliancewith localregulations.
