Safety Notes

Please note the following safety notes and also the included General Safety Notes to avoid malfunction, damage or physical injury: Make sure the operating voltage stated on the type label corresponds to the power mains available in your area. Check the router and the electrical connections for any damage and do not use the tool if the router or the cable is damage. Use the router and the included attachments according to this manual and only for the intended purpose.

Wear suitable personal protection such as

hearing protection and protective goggles. Before starting up, make sure the milling cutter is firmly positioned and secured into the collets. Make sure that no keys and adjusting tools are inserted in the machine. Make sure the router is switched off before plugging in. Do not operate the router if your ability to react is affected by alcohol consumption, medication, drugs, illness and fatigue. Clamp the work piece with chuck or a vice to avoid slipping. When operating the machine always hold the router firmly with both hands. Always provide for a secure footing when work- ing. Milling must always be carried out against the direction of rotation of the milling cutter. The milling cutter must be running at full speed before lowering into the work piece. Beware of the reaction torque of the machine, particularly if the milling cutter becomes jammed in the work piece. On completion of work, allow the machine to slide back to its initial position by releasing the retaining lever. 5

Safety Notes

Caution: Allow for run down time of the cutter after turning the router off. Wait for the machine to come to a complete stop before removing from the work piece. Never attempt to slow the router down with your hands or using pressure. Do not touch the cutter immediately after operation; it may be extremely hot and could burn you. Do not force the router. Your router will do better job if you take it slowly. Avoid cutting nails and screws. Inspect the work piece and remove all nails and screws before cutting. Always switch off the router and then unplug before adjusting, while changing the attachments, when not in use and after work and while maintaining. In the event of an electrical or mechanical malfunction, immediately switch off the router and do not use the router further more. Keep the ventilation slots clean and free from foreign objects. Make sure that dust cannot enter into the mechanical parts. Do not disassemble the machine and do not try to repair it yourself. 5. Schrauben Sie wieder die Klemmschrauben für den Parallelanschlag (9)

wieder auf die Grundplatte (7) auf.

6. Setzen Sie die Maschine wieder auf die Grundplatte und drehen Sie die

Klemmschraube (4) fest.

7. Befestigen Sie die Spannzange (6) wieder an der Maschine.

8. Verbinden Sie die Saugdüse ihres Staubsaugers mit der Öffnung der

Staubabsaugvorrichtung.

Wartung und Reinigung

Verwenden Sie zum Reinigen der Maschine keine aggressiven Chemikalien. Verwenden Sie nur ein trockenes Tuch und eine Bürste. C4 7 A B 9 14

Operation

Inserting the Milling Cutter

Make sure the router is switched off and unplugged before inserting the milling cutter.

1. Make sure that the collet of the

milling cutter is of the same size.

The machine is supplied with col-

lets for 6 and 8 mm tool shafts.

2. Press the spindle lock (5) and keep

it pressed. Turn the collet nut (6) until it drops into the lock. The milling cutter shank must be insert- ed at least 20 mm into the collet.

3. Tighten the collet nut with the

included spanner. Never tighten the collet nut with the spanner without inserting a milling cutter.

4. Run the router up to full no load speed before using and watch out for

vibration or wobbling that could indicate unbalance. Setting the Milling Depth with Scale Cutting Depth

1. Place the router onto the work-piece.

2. Loosen the locking bolt depth stop (12) and tilt the clamping lever (2).

3. Push the machine downwards until the milling cutter touches the surface

of the work piece.

4. Tighten the clamping lever (2). Set the milling depth with the scale cutting

depth (11) and tighten the locking bolt depth stop (12) hand screw. 5 6 16

Operation

Setting the Milling Depth with Revolver Depth Stop

With the revolver depth stop you can

set 3 different milling depths. This depends on the scale cutting depth (11).

1. Set the router onto the work

piece.

2. Set the desired milling depth with

the three screws on the revolver depth stop (10).

Milling

Set the speed control wheel (13) to the lowest speed while milling plastics.

1. Place the machine on work-piece. Press the ON/OFF switch (1) down.

Press the switch through its resistance in order to lock the switch in the position ON.

2. Mill out the groove with continuous even feed.

3. Control the desired milling speed with the speed control wheel (13).

4. Release the ON/OFF switch and press the switch, if it is fixed, once more

to switch off the router.

5. After the work is done, raise the router upwards. Wait a few minutes until

the motor has come to standstill before placing down the machine. Milling must always be carried out against the direction of rotation of the milling cutter. Milling in the direction of rotation can cause the routing cutter to be wrenched from the operator's hand.

Only use the included attachment:

1 parallel guide, 1 template guide, 2 screws, 1 dust extraction, one collet nut in

6 mm and one in 8 mm and a spanner.

Operation

Milling with Parallel Guide

With the parallel guide you can mill thin work pieces.

1. Mount with the included screws

(A) the guide rods (B) onto the frame (C).

2. Unscrew the locking bolts (9) and

insert the guide rods of the paral- lel guide into the parallel guide openings (8) of the base plate.

3. Adjust the parallel guide as

intended and secure it with the wing screws.

Milling with Template Guide

With the template guide you can mill

up to sample. Mount the template guide (B) with the included screws onto the base plate. B C 98A

Operation

Dust Extraction

Inhalation of wood dust is dangerous to your health. Wear a dusk mask and always work with dust extraction system. Keep the dust extraction opening behind the milling cutter. So you have better view look on the work piece.

1. Unscrew the machine clamp

screw (4) and remove the machine out of the base plate.

2. Remove the collet nut (6).

3. Remove the locking bolt for

parallel guide (9) out off the base plate.

4. Mount the dust extraction

(B) with the included screws (A) into the opening (C) on the base plate.

5. Secure the locking bolts for parallel guide (9) on the base plate (7) again.

6. Place the machine on the base plate and secure the machine clamp screw
