300 million people speak French world-wide in countries such as Haiti, Canada, and

Sénégal. Or, that French is the third most widely used language on the Internet, ahead of Spanish?! This year, we will study the French language and many diverse Francophone cultures! Your child will be able to communicate many new things in French, such as: how to introduce oneself, family members, and friends while greeting one another; we will learn how to tell time using the 24-hour clock; we will learn about food from some of the 29+countries where French is spoken (feel free to kindly share treats if this applies to your family!), as well as how school systems in Francophone countries compares to ours! In order to be successful, we will use technology daily. I use Schoology for our lessons. It is necessary that your child has access to a gmail.com account (that is similar to his/her name please) as I have a quizlet subscription which we use for assignments and as a means to turn in work digitally.
