LUXURY

SUPERIOR

BOUTIQUE

Our Luxury hotels offer high standards of comfort, style, and service with extensive attention to detail. Almost all feature amenities such as pools, spas, and private terraces. Luxury hotels are closest to North American 5 star standards. For an upgraded experience, our Superior hotels feature impressive common areas, spacious rooms. Some hotels of this type include amenities found in higher class hotels, including pools, spas, or terraces. Superior level hotels are closest to North American 4 star standards. Our Boutique hotels are usually small (3 to 30 rooms), one-of-a-kind, and bursting with personality. What they may lack in size and amenities, they make up for with designer decor, ultra-personalized service, and emphasis on local experiences. Boutique hotels run the gamut from cozy to luxurious but are usually located in the heart of a destination.

BARRANCO

I f you are the sort of traveler who enjoys getting wonderfully lost while discovering a charming neighborhood, then you will love

Barranco as much as we do. In this

small district by the sea, you can marvel at beautiful residential facades, snap photos of street murals, hop from coffee shop to craft brewery to designer toast the sunset from a rooftop terrace at one of the hotels you'll see here.

The Municipal Park of the Plaza de

Armas in Barranco marks the center of

the district. Walk across Avenida San

Martin and you will see the famous

Puente de los Suspiros spanning over

the Bajada de Baños. Leading down to a rocky beach, this walkway has been in use since the days when Barranco cobblestoned bajada is a nightlife hub ķđȩA few blocks north is Malecon Sáenz

Peña, Barranco's second must-see

area. Highlights include a sprinkling of elegant early 20th century mansions and art galleries and the engrossing

Dedalo store where you can browse a

selection of ceramics, books, clothing, art and artisan goods with a focus on local designers. The western end of the street opens onto the coastal promenade with views of the beach below.

Long considered just a stopover on the

way to more exciting destinations in

Peru, Lima has worked hard to remake

its image in the 21st century. By now, in

2018, the city has become an obligatory

stop in Peru thanks to its wide-ranging culinary and cultural offerings. In that effort, Barranco is certainly one of the city's most compelling highlights. 77

HOTEL B

LUXURY BOUTIQUE

I f f

Hotel B were a person, it would be

utterly chic, always well attired, and well mannered enough to make you feel like you"re the only person in the room. Basically, charming and classy, but cool.

Opened in 2013, Hotel B sits in a

gorgeously restored Belle Epoque

Every detail, every vase, every book,

every rug, and adornment has been meticulously selected. The result is a whimsical ambiance that is rich in character yet contemporary and clean.

No heavy tapestries, ornate touches or

overwrought chandeliers here.

A member of Relais & Chateaux, Hotel B

also functions as a curated gallery, and in fact, collaborates with the prestigious

Gallery Lucia de la Puente next door.

Pieces of modern art, many by Peruvian

artists, adorn each passageway and every room. Interested guests can request a tour of the collection on check-in.

Outside Restaurant Seating

T he dining rooms and bar are elegant but intimate and illuminated by natural light. Crafted by renowned local chef Oscar

Velarde, the menu is modern and abundant,

featuring the best of local dishes plus selected international touches.

Relish Hotel B"s renowned afternoon tea,

of pastries and petit fours, and a selection of hot beverages. Served daily, afternoon tea is complimentary for guests staying at the hotel. What else can you expect? Traditional rooms, featuring exposed wood beams and comforts. King or Queen sized beds are spacious rain showers and saunas or stand- alone porcelain bathtubs.

In each instance, tradition reconciles with

modernity to ensure maximum comfort. For example, double-glazed windows have been installed to ensure peace and quiet as you relax in your room.

The contemporary wing edges more toward

minimalist but bears the same charming touches and maintains the beautiful design of the original house. V enture beyond the doors of Hotel B and

Barranco. Lima"s bohemian neighborhood is

an enclave for artists, cafes, galleries, and only steps away from the coastline. Take a stroll, or better yet, reserve one of the complimentary vintage bikes and explore at your leisure.

For personality and style without

compromising service and comforts, Hotel B might be an ideal choice during your stay in the capital city.

VILLA BARRANCO BY ANANAY HOTELS

BOUTIQUE

V illa Barranco by Ananay Hotels is a relatively new boutique hotel with just 9 rooms and a fantastic location in Barranco. We love how this hotel manages to strike the perfect balance between cozy, modern, informal and stylish - all at once.

Like many of Lima"s coolest new

properties, Villa Barranco occupies city"s bohemian district. Polish architect

Ricardo de Jaxa Malachowski directed its

construction in 1923. And it was declared a national monument in 1987. The years-long restoration has recuperated stunning ornamental features such as the colorful mosaic designs that adorn the exterior.

T he common areas at Villa Barranco make it really hard to leave the hotel. Head to the charming rooftop terrace to enjoy the lounge chairs and ocean views. From Thursday to

Saturday, the hotel hires a private bartender

to serve drinks and to show interested guests how to craft classic Peruvian cocktails such as the pisco sour or chilcano.

Down in the dining room, a large communal

table is where guests gather for breakfast in the morning. Don"t worry if you sleep in, because breakfast is served until the last guest wakes up. to the gorgeous tree-lined Malecon Sáenz mansions, art galleries, and the destination bar-restaurant at

A fter visiting at the end of 2017, it came as no surprise to learn that, just a few days into 2018,

Casa Republica had been listed by

Travel+Leisure

as one of the best places to travel in South America in January.

Casa Republica, the newest boutique

hotel in Barranco, has an enviable location on the lovely Malecon Sáenz

Peña. Brimming with scenic early 20th

century mansions, this street draws locals and travelers seeking to experience the romantic atmosphere of Lima"s bohemian enclave by the sea.

The hotel sits in one of those mansions.

Republica has been totally renovated

from the inside out, but with key architectural features kept intact. A beautiful white exterior with imposing stature and detailed trim looks especially lovely both in person and in photos, providing perfect material to share on your favorite social media channels. (That"s what we did.)

Moving inside, high ceilings provide a wide

art and carefully selected furnishings. In a boon for art loving guests, the hotel will feature a rotating collection of works from local Peruvian artists.

From the beautiful ceramics in the

bathrooms to its freshly prepared breakfast, the ethos of Casa Republica guests, this means a more meaningful connection to the culture of Lima and Peru.

L ima pulsates with frenetic energy and for anyone new to has a nice way of making you feel right at home. Perhaps it has to do with how comfortable you will feel exploring this secure neighborhood on foot as you venture out from your hotel to relax at Parque Kennedy or go shopping at Larcomar. For some, the modern district may even remind you a bit of downtown San Diego with its high rise studded skyline and close proximity to the ocean.
