The overall goal of the Early

Childhood Developement

Programs is to bring about

a greater degree of social competence in children. Social competence means the child's everyday effectiveness dealing with the present, both in life and school. Children provided with a wide variety of learning experiences will grow in all areas of development - socially, physically, intellectually, and emotionally.

This tradition continues today. In 1992,

Facilities Fund raised

$1,500,000 to develop a "state of the art" child care center.

The center is currently

licensed for 103 children.

Curriculum which focuses on developing

The Early Childhood Center provides high

quality affordable child care to children from 0 to 5 years of age. Children are cared for in a warm and nurturing environment where they receive early learning, intervention and educational services.
