If you require an International Qualification Assessment (IQA) to apply to Immigration New Zealand under the Long Term Skill Shortage List,

please refer to the information on the following pages before you apply for your IQA to determine if you require the Skill Shortage Assessment

who complete New Zealand qualifications at New Zealand institutes. We also do not assess work experience (unless it was a component of

your qualification) nor any other requirements not related to a qualification.

If the outcome of your IQA assessment is NZQF Level 7 or higher, you will then need to contact Engineering New Zealand directly and obtain the letter mentioned in the requirements. Once you obtain the letter from Engineering New Zealand, submit the letter and IQA directly to

Immigration New Zealand.

OR NZ registration in the field of civil engineering as a Chartered Professional Engineer or an Engineering Technologist by Engineering
