non, et de les modifier éventuellement si besoin.Ils permettent le plus souvent en une simple ligne, de définir les conditions de livraison et évitent de reporter
dans chaque contrat des clauses logistiques complexes. Encore, faut- il bien libeller les clauses commerciales afin d'éviter tout litige d'interprétation.Comme les versions précédentes des incoterms restent valables, il est nécessaire de bien stipuler l'année
de référence des incoterms ou le numéro de la brochure (n° 560 pour les incoterms 2000).Incoterm CCI 2000 + les 3 lettres indiquant l'incoterm choisi + lieu d'effet + mentions complémentaires ou

Le vendeur utilisera un de ces incoterms si son organisation n'a pas la capacité organisationnelle pour
prendre en charge le transport, ou si les conditions de prix ou de sécurité dans le pays de destination ne
sont pas satisfaisantes. L'acheteur qui ne dispose pas d'expérience en matière de transport les évitera quant
à lui.
Les incoterms de cette famille sont les plus couramment utilisés dans les ventes réalisées par les PME, qui
disposent rarement des ressources suffisantes pour assurer un service de transport complet jusqu'à
destination.On retrouve huit termes différents dans cette catégorie EXW - FCA - FAS - FOB - CFR - CIF - CPT - CIP.
Les incoterms de vente au départ font supporter par l'acheteur (dans une plus ou moins grande mesure) les
charges et les risques liés au transport des marchandises.
