According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics' Occupational Outlook Han dbook, the median annual wage for network and computer systems administrators with B.A. degrees was $72,560 in May 201

2. Employment of network and computer

systems administrators is projected to grow 12 percent from 2012 to 2022 , about as fast as the average for all occupations. Growth will be highest at firms that provide cloud computing technology.

Job Flexibility

Full-time versus part-time: Most computer systems administrators work 40 hours per week and overtime may be required. Those working in IT facilities op en 24 hours a day may work in the evenings or overnight shifts.

Network Administration and Security

The Network Administration and Security program at ASA prepares graduate s to be able to provide network and system administration support. They are trained to design, install, configure, maintain and secure local and wide area corporate networks in small to medium sized corporations. Students receive hands-o n training with servers, routers and switches in our fully equipped computer and networking labs. The program also helps stud ents to prepare for industry standard certification exams such as A+, Network+, Security+, CCENT, CCNA, MCSA, etc. The gradu ates have opportunity to specialize in network security or Cisco internetworking.
