Whether you paddle with a professional guide or head out on your own, sea-kayaking is a great way to appreciate the vast beauty of the Marine park. carefully prepared kayak outings provide all of the pleasures of the great outdoors in complete safety. For an excursion lasting several days take advantage of campsites located along the edges of the park.

Developed in partnership with marine tour

companies, the Regulations provide a framework for activities carried out in the

Marine Park. The Regulations indicate the

maximum navigational speed permitted throughout the park, as well as distances and speeds to be respected when marine mammals are present.

Here is an overview of the new measures:

Stopping within ½ nautical mile of beluga

and blue whales is prohibited.

The maximum speed permitted at the

mouth of the Saguenay is 15 knots.

The use of personal watercraft (jet skis),

hovercraft and traction water sports are prohibited within the boundaries of the park.

Do not disturb marine mammals, for

example, by feeding, touching or attempting to swim with them.

What is the best time

to see W hales?

Whether you are seeking adventure or

a quiet tour on the water, you will be delighted. Take the full measure of wide open spaces, each excursion is unique!What boat to choose?

The rules governing approaches are the

same for whatever type of boat you choose. Your captain will stay within regulated speeds and respect the approach distances to be maintained in the vicinity of whales. While sea-kayaking, your guide will make sure you maintain appropriate distances and navigate in complete safety.
