The organisational work for our 2008 annual meeting at the Université de Sherbrooke enabled us to have another memorable meeting. Our local organiser, Laurent Theis, with the expert support of the CRYSTAL centre students (David Benoit, Guylaine Cotnoir, Annie Corriveau, Alexandre Ducharme Rivard, and Vincent Martin) as well as the CRYSTAL centre secretary, Catherine Kenny, managed to do everything with utmost efficiency and pleasantries, and we thank them. We would also like to thank the guest speakers, working group leaders, topic session and ad hoc presenters, and all the participants for making the 2008 meeting a stimulating and worthwhile experience. L'organisation locale de notre rencontre annuelle de 2008 à l'Université de Sherbrooke nous a permis d'avoir une autre rencontre mémorable. Notre organisateur local, Laurent Theis, avec le support des étudiants du CREAS (David Benoit, Guylaine, Cotnoir, Annie Corriveau, Alexandre Ducharme Rivard et Vincent Martin) ainsi que de la secrétaire du CREAS,
