Phase 1 - Verifying files are ready for uploading
Phase 2 - Uploading and attaching files to the LiveText assignment (LiveText) Phase 3 - Sending / Transferring your work to edTPA at Pearson (LiveText)Phase 4 - Updating and marking all parts Ready to Submit (Pearson edTPA) Phase 5 - Submitting your Portfolio for Scoring (Pearson edTPA)

Phase 1
Verify your files are ready to upload and attach.
1. Account for any corrections in the handbook and/or templates included in the
edTPA_Errata -2013-0226.pdf sent to you. Content areas that need to be confirmed are: a. Early Childhood (WA) b. Elementary Literacy (WA) c. Elementary Mathematics (WA) d. K-12 Physical Education (WA) e. Secondary English-Language Arts (WA) f. Secondary Mathematics (WA) g. Secondary History/Social Studies (WA) h. Secondary Science (WA) i. Special Education (WA)2. Compress your video(s) to 256 kbps.
3. Check that your file sizes are no more than 500 MB for any one file (Pearson restriction)
and a total of 900 MB (transfer to Pearson restriction) for all files.4. Rename any files as necessary to include the Task number and the Part number they are

Phase 2 - Upload and/or Attach files to the assignment. (LiveText)1. On your Dashboard, scroll to the EFC 480 Student Teaching assignments.
2.Find the

for your WA TPA Handbook (i.e. Elementary Literacy) and click the appropriate red Begin Assignment button.3. Click on the Attach Files button under Step 2 of 3.

4. If files have not been previously uploaded:
(for files previously uploaded to File Manager skip to step 8) In the Attach Files window click on the Upload New File Tab.5. Using your Evidence Chart as a checklist, Browse for the files to be attached.
6. On the File Upload screen click on a File Name and then Open. Repeat for all files.

7. Once all Files have been Uploaded, click the green Attach Selected Files button.
8. If files were uploaded through File Manager:
In the Attach Files window click on Previous Files and select the label for your edTPA documents from the drop-down menu. CWU LiveText Instructions for Submitting the edTPA (WA)Page 6 of 10
9. Select All Files on a page and click on Attach Selected Files
10. Repeat steps 8 and 9 for each page of files

Phase 3
Send/Transfer your work to edTPA from LiveText
1. Click on the red Send your work to edTPA (a copy will be sent to your instructor)
button2. Pin the appropriate document to each Task and Part by selecting it from the dropdown

3. Read 'Send to edTPA' Terms of Service.
4. Check acknowledgement of 'Send to edTPA' Terms of Service.
5. Enter 16-digit Authorization Key.
6. Click green Send to edTPA button.
7. After you receive your email confirming receipt by Pearson of your edTPA, login to your
edTPA to finish submitting for scoring. It can take anywhere from 45 minutes to a couple days for this email. You can also login to your edTPA account to see if Pearson has associated your documents with your account. Forward this email toSharris@cwu.edu

Phase 4 - Review and mark all parts Ready to Submit at edTPAPearson
1. At http://www.edtpa.com/ login to your edTPA account.
2. Select your portfolio for your edTPA submission.
3. Review the File Names associated with each Task and Part
4. Mark all parts of your portfolio Ready to Submit.
Phase 5
Submit your Portfolio for Scoring at edTPA Pearson1. Click the Submit Portfolio for Scoring button.
2. If not all parts have a status of Ready to Submit the Submit Portfolio for Scoring button
