Certificat d͛Etudes

The IEP proposes to its international students who have a good level in French to prepare a specific degree (Diplôme Universitaire): le Certificat d͛Etudes PolitiƋues (CEP) (= the Certificate of Political Studies). In order to obtain the CEP, students have to attend specific classes :
2 fundamental courses
- Vie politique française (24 hours) = 5 ECTS (1st semestre), - Institutions politiques comparées (24 hours) = 5 ECTS (2nd semestre).
2 ͞confĠrences de mĠthode" (during the entire academic
year) to be chosen between: - Sociologie Politique (36 hours) = 8 ECTS, - Problèmes Internationaux Contemporains (36 hours) = 8 ECTS, - La France et l͛Europe en tendance (36 hours) = 8 ECTS. - Construire l͛action publiƋue. Actions publiƋues comparĠes (36 hours) = 8 ECTS
Page 4 sur 6
Please note that attendance at these ͞confĠrences de mĠthodes" is obligatory. A minimum of 5 courses to be chosen within the list of courses available to international students. A ͞grand Oral"͗ an oral edžam testing the general knowledge of the students and their capacity to structure what they have learned = 5 ECTS.
Course Load per
semester All depends on the needs of the students. Please note that most of the courses are worth 5 ECTS (24 hours) or 4 ECTS (18 hours).
Language of
Instruction
The great majority of courses are taught in French language. A maximum of 10 courses are taught in English over one semester.
We also offer 4-5 courses in Spanish and German.
Campus Facilities and
accommodation Our Institute is not located on a campus so we cannot provide accommodation for students. But Lille is a great metropolis which offers many facilities and lodging for students.
