I have won over 150 races competing against the best on Long Island including all the major futurities and derbies. I have also bred
over 100 winners for some of the best los in the USA. Since my retirement in 2017 to Florida I no longer race, I have kept these
families intact over the years without any crossing of other families. Keeping the families intact using an excellent genetic pool
based not only on pedigree, but on performance, these families have proved the test of time while so many have come and gone.
Some accomplishments in 2019:
AU Convention race / IF Convention race 8 birds clocked, 6 dierent los, 7 in the money,1st breeders championship / LCM Futurity, NJ, 80 los 3 birds entered, 10th, 15th / Plains Classic 3rd / LS Futurity 4th /

President"s Message
Richard Smith
Greetings members!
It's hard to believe another year, no less a decade has passed by. I would like to wish everyone a very happy, healthy 2020 with good luck in the 2020 racing season. Also a very big welcome to the new clubs that have joined the I.F in 2019. is year's 139th I.F. Convention was a very successful one. ank you to the e Braintree/Norwood Racing Pigeon Club for hosting this year's event in Boston, MA. We had another great race aer a weather delay, along with a fun shipping night, race lo visiting, and the banquet. e ladies had a wonderful itinerary of their own with a dinner and theater show, as well as a wine & painting event. e 2019 convention race results and Kevin William's article start on page 80. Congratulations to all the winners! ank you to everyone that worked on the convention. It is appreciated. I wasn't able to personally attend the 2019 I.F. Convention due to the passing of my beloved brother. I am looking forward to this year"s 140th IF Convention in Islip. NY on Long Island. e dates this year are November 5th through November7th, hosted by the Islip Homing Pigeon Club. Doug Franze
is the Convention Chair with Erik Hall, Rich Neske, and Pal Joey as Co-Chairs. e details start on page 95. Additional information and updates will be posted on our website: www.IFPigeon.com and the host club website: https://www.islipracingpigeonclub.com. Please check those sites oen for new and additional information. As always I encourage clubs and combines to host or co-host an I.F. convention. It"s a very good opportunity to gain club exposure, momentum, prestige, membership recruitment and fund raising. Questions and concerns can be answered by some of our previous convention chairs. We would like to see I.F. members go to new areas of the country and visit new los in the upcoming years. Let me know if you and your club/ combine are interested in hosting an I.F. Convention. Erik Hall has written a short article about this topic on page 60. I would like to congratulate our 2019 "Person of the Year" recipient Sal Lama who was presented this award by Erik Hall. Sal is the I.F.'s 3rd Vice President and Lost Bird Coordinator. He is a great yer and a huge help with the Lost Pigeonprogram indeed. Sal is an outstanding choice for 2019. I am very pleased to say we have an I.F. Scholarship winner
again this year! e winner received a check for $1,000. Congratulations to this year"s I.F. Scholarship Winner: Noah Singer from West Springfield, MA and his essay "Our
