BCMS students can take a second major from the Arts listed major as well as the business major (Business Law and Taxation, Econometrics and
Business Statistics, Management and Strategic Management).Elective units may also be taken from non-arts disciplines to broaden your knowledge or to complete a major or minor(s) from another course as
long as you have the prerequisites and there are no restrictions on enrolment in the units.Requirements for Graduation
A total of 144 credit points (24 units) are required with:9 Part A. Core communication and media studies (48 points) 9 Part B. Complementary specialist study (30 points); choose either Communication, media and screen studies or Global studies in communication
and media9 Part C. Capstone units (18 points)
9 Part D. Free elective study (48 points) Important: Elective units may be chosen from the school or across the University as long as you have the
prerequisites and there are no restrictions on admission to the units. The units may be at any level, however, no more than ten units (60 points) at
level 1 can be credited to the Bachelor of Communication and Media Studies.( For more details of A2007 course structure, please refer to
