Eurostar
Section 1: IMPORTANT About this Guide
Be aware of the following:
Infinite variables: Certain scenarios have an infinite number of variables or extremely unusual circumstances, like rare cancellation or refund situations. So, not all scenarios can be presented in this guide. Also, certain processes may be influenced by third- or fourth-party providers. In some cases, you must contact the provider directly. User interface, fees, rates, schedules: When other providers change their user interface (for example, web site) or their fees/rates/schedules, they are under no obligation to make SAP Concur aware of those changes. If a screen sample in this guide is outdated because of a change made by a provider, we will update that screen sample when we become aware of the change and at our earliest convenience. Permissions: A company's admin may or may not have the correct permissions to manage the feature described in this guide. If an admin needs to manage this feature and does not have the proper permissions, they should contact the company's SAP Concur administrator. Also, the admin should be aware that some of the tasks described in this guide cannot be completed by the company. In this case, the client must contact their TMC (if a TMC provides their support) or SAP Concur (if SAP Concur provides their support).
Section 2: Overview
Eurostar is a high-speed railway passenger train service in Western Europe with connecting services to over 100 destinations across Europe. Today, Concur Travel supports Eurostar content from the following sources:
Sabre GDS
Amadeus GDS (UK, US, Benelux Office IDs only when configured)
Galileo GDS
SNCF Direct Connect
Important Announcement on Eurostar Reservation Booked Through
SNCF Direct Connect
As of November 9, 2019, the Eurostar reservation system has changed its process for post-sales transactions (i.e., cancellations, exchanges) of Eurostar tickets. These transactions no longer are handled at the counters of the SNCF rail stations, in SNCF shops, and by telephone (call number 3635).

Since August 26, 2019, any planned trips that occur from November 9, 2019 and on are affected by these changes. Post-sales transactions continue via the following:
Self-service terminals in the station
Travel agencies approved by SNCF
Eurostar Channels: Eurostar.com website, Eurostar Application, Eurostar points of sale at the SNCF station (the Shop at Paris Nord and Lille Europe stations) and Eurostar Customer Service.
Section 3: What the User Sees
Eurostar stations are available in the Travel Wizard. When booking Eurostar content through the GDS, the stations are listed alongside airports, on the Flight tab:

Note the following:
When Eurostar is available via GDS only, the Train Search tab will not appear. When SNCF Direct Connect is enabled, Eurostar content can be obtained via the Mixed Flight/Train Search tab and the Train Search tab. When Eurostar content is available from the GDS and SNCF Direct Connect, both Eurostar options will be available via the Mixed Flight/Train Search tab.

Section 4: Configuration
Eurostar content is available from the GDS systems without additional configuration, although travel policy rules may need to configured for travelers to see all available cabins. See the Known Issues section for more details. There are point-of-sale restrictions that would not allow your agency to fulfill Eurostar bookings when based outside of the UK or France. For SNCF configuration information, refer to the SNCF Direct Connect Travel Service Guide, which is available on the Concur Support Portal or in Travel
Administration online help.
Section 5: Known Issues / Limitations
Cabins
Each Eurostar source (GDS Sabre, Amadeus, Galileo and SNCF Direct Connect) classifies train cabins differently. Please keep these differences in mind when determining cabin class travel policy rules:

Standard Premier Premium Economy Standard Premier (1st) Business Premier Business Business Premier Flex (1st) Seats For Eurostar content sourced from Sabre, Amadeus, or Galileo, Concur Travel does not support seat map display. Travelers can select their preferred seat type (window, aisle, etc.). After the booking is completed, Eurostar assigns a seat to each traveler. Concur Travel also does not support the reading of the SSR returned by Eurostar in the GDS PNR in the cases where Eurostar automatically assigns a seat for the traveler. This means the Concur Travel itinerary will not reflect the Eurostar seat assignment in the expected area. As a workaround, TMCs may be able to provide seat information using an unassociated itinerary remark. Concur displays these remarks at the bottom of the Concur Travel itinerary. Concur is evaluating if seat experience can be improved as part of the general GDS upgrade work that is being performed.

Post Ticketing Changes
Once booked, the booking status for a Eurostar booking displays as confirmed. This allows for changes and cancellations to be made. This is a system limitation because the trip status never moves form confirmed to ticketed.

Booking Through Flight Search Tab
Can Eurostar be booked through the Train Search tab? Eurostar is not available through the GDS on the Train Search tab. It is only available via the Flight Search tab with one exception if SNCF Direct Connect is enabled, Eurostar content can be obtained through the Train Search tab.
