The Distribution Amount (USD 209 million

gross) is divided by the total number of days (around 24,500), which results in an amount per player per day of around USD 8,530 (subject to any taxes and deductions).

The amount of around USD 8,530 is

multiplied by the number of days each player is at the final competition of the

2018 FIFA World Cup Russia, starting two

weeks before the opening match until the day following the last match of his representative team ("Total per Player"). It is not relevant whether or not the player actually played in any given match.

The Total per Player is distributed to the

club(s) with which the player was registered during the two years before the final competition of the 2018 FIFA World Cup

Russia.

In the event of doubt or ambiguity

regarding the above calculation, delays in filings and any unusual, specific or special cases, FIFA decides on the payment and allocation on a case-by-case basis and its decision is final.Distribution of amounts

In order to establish a scheme that does

not favour a particular continental transfer period, FIFA drew up the following blocks to compile a list of the clubs with which the representative teams' players were registered throughout the given two-year period:Indicative example:

Player X is selected to play for representative

team A in the final competition of the 2018 FIFA

World Cup Russia.

Player X is registered with club Y at the time of

the final competition of the 2018 FIFA World

Cup Russia.

Player X was transferred from club Z to club Y

on 1 July 2017.

Representative team A is eliminated in the

quarter-finals of the final competition, which results in a Total per Player for player X of

approximately USD 332,670 (39 days x USD 8,530).The amount of USD 332,670 is shared between clubs Y and Z, based on the time player X was registered with the two clubs Y and Z in the previous two years. In this indicative example, club Y would receive

FIFA WORLD CUP

RUSSIA

Background

The FIFA World Cup Club Benefits Programme

("the Programme") was designed to recognise the contribution which football clubs make to the success of staging the FIFA World Cup™.

Under the Programme, a share of the benefits

from the successful hosting of a FIFA World

Cup is distributed via the national associations

to the clubs of the players who participate in the FIFA World Cup. The basis upon which each club's share is calculated is discussed further below.

The Programme was established for the

2010 FIFA World Cup™ in South Africa and

provision made in the institutional agreement signed between FIFA and the European Club

Association ("ECA") who act on behalf of all

clubs globally in relation to the programme.

The share of the benefits of the 2014 FIFA

World Cup™ set aside for the Programme was

USD 70 million, which increased from

USD 40 million for the 2010 FIFA World Cup.

This amount has risen once again for the 2018

FIFA World Cup™, to USD 209 million, and is

managed by the FIFA Professional Football

Department.for its contribution to the successful staging of the FIFA World Cup in accordance with various terms set out in the form. The club acknowledges and agrees that any payments that it is entitled to receive under the Programme, subject to the valid signature of the Form and subject to possible taxes, will be distributed via the member association to which the club is affiliated after the successful staging of the FIFA World Cup.

Receipt of the funds under the Programme is

without prejudice to any compensation from the FIFA Club Protection Programme, or any other matter (compensation of any kind) arising from the release or participation of players for representative teams in general and in particular for a FIFA World Cup.

The calculations to determine the distribution

of funds are based on a model that takes into consideration the number of players per club and the number of days each player is at the final tournament. As an example of how the calculations are determined, the formula for the calculations for the 2018 FIFA World Cup

is outlined below.from the club who are selected for a representative team squad for the final competition of the FIFA World Cup and the number of days each player is at the 2018 FIFA World Cup, starting two weeks before the opening match of the final competition until the day after his representative team is eliminated.

A share is then passed on to the club(s)

with which the player selected for the representative team squad for the final competition of a FIFA World Cup™ was registered in the two years prior to one day after the elimination of his representative team from the final tournament.

Payments are distributed via the member

associations.

General principles

To participate, a club completes the Club

Application Form ("the Form"), which serves

as the basis of its participation in the

Programme. Upon completion of the Form,

the club confirms its wish to receive payments

The payments will be made

on the following basis:

For the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia, the total

gross amount available for payment to clubs ("Distribution Amount") will be USD 209 million.

A club's share of this Distribution Amount is

calculated based on the number of players

Calculation of payments

and allocations

As an example, the payments for the 2018

FIFA World Cup Russia™ are calculated as

follows: The total number of players selected for all representative teams participating in the final competition of the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia is 736 (i.e. 32 [representative teams] x 23 [players each]). On a cumulative basis, the players will participate in the final competition of the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia for a total of approximately 24,500 days (i.e. starting two weeks before the opening match until the day following the last match of the representative team in question).quotesdbs_dbs21.pdfusesText_27
