If necessary, include other individuals in the investigation (for example, the supervisor of the area you are investigating or a member of the joint health and safety committee). Tal k to the employee(s) who made the complaints. Discuss the nature and timing of their symptoms. Ask them to identify any suspected causes. Ch eck for obvious pollutant sources such as humidifiers, newly introduced furniture, décor, books or carpets, water stains, visible mould, etc. Ch eck the HVAC system:
