SANGOMA ISUP TAPPING SAMPLE APPLICATION

This Readme file mainly gives the introduction about the isup tapping sample application and how to execute the same. ** sample_isup_tapping.c : * This file mainly provides platform in order to TAP SS7 call as required by customer on channel and span basis. * Also provides functions in order to detect the sangoma how devices present on the system and and then configure the same w.r.t tapping application. * Also provide functionality for configuring FreeTDM span w.r.t Tapping app and then start the the same. ** sample_isup_tapping.h * This file contains the libraries, macros and structures required by "sample_isup_tapping.c" for execution.

Span Configuration

* User must do the span configuration via sample tapping application. * Span configuration mainly has 4 members as described below:

Member Description Allowed Values

peer_span (must configured)

Use to set the peer_span name

between which tapping needs to be performed for wanpipe 1 its peer span should be wanpipe 2 and vice- versa switch_type (optional)

Used to set the switch type of

the span on which call needs to be tapped 'itu00' - for ITU2000 switch Etc. cicbase (must configure)

Used to set the starting cic

value for respective span

Any positive values

is_voice (must configure)

Used to set the whether the

configure span is pure voice or signalling '0' for Signalling '1' for pure voice span voice_span (must configure)

Used to create a list of all voice

spans configured for that particular signalling span separated by commas

Any valid span_id or '0' for no

voice span. * NOTE: * If the user does not configure 'switch_type' by default its values are set to 'itu00' i.e. 'ITU2000'. * Here is the list of switches that one can use:

china for China networks itu00 for ITU2000 networks uk for UK networks ** How to execute sample isup tapping application: * Please execute the below set of commands in order to execute tapping application:

For LINUX:

#./configure #make #./run_sample_isup_tapping

For WINDOWS:

1. Change directory to applications\sample_isup_tapping\Win_VS2010\ .

2. Open sample_isup_tapping 2010 Visual Studio Solution file.

3. Run: Rebuild Project

a. Note do not try to run ISUP Tapping application from Visual Studio. b. It needs a console. c. Exe file is located @ Debug\sample_isup_tapping.exe.

4. Open cmd shell in Administrative mode.

5. Run:

* NOTE: * One may see OPEN CIRCUIT alarms being generated while starting the wanpipe but that is as expected. * Call will start getting tapped once link status is UP. * In ISUP there are two different mode of operation i.e.

1) Tapping operation performed on ISUP Signalling SPAN i.e.

SNG_SS7_ISUP_SIG_TAPPING_MODE

2) Tapping operation performed on ISUP PURE VOICE SPAN i.e.

SNG_SS7_ISUP_PURE_VOICE_TAPPING_MODE
